Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: “There is, currently, no politics of domination between Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy CM Eknath Shinde on any issue. There is a dialogue of understanding between them. The bonding between them is excellent,” said Industries Minister Uday Samant.
Minister Samant was in the city to review the Skill Development Centre and spoke with journalists at the airport upon his arrival.
There have been reports suggesting that CM Fadnavis cancelled decisions taken under the protection project of 14 lakes initiated by the previous Shinde-led government.
This reportedly included 11 projects approved by Shinde, for which the distributed 73 crore rupees have allegedly been recalled.
Addressing these rumours, Samant said, "It has been a year and seven months since the government was formed. There is no friction or one-upmanship between Fadnavis and Shinde." He said that the decision regarding the lakes might have been taken due to certain technical difficulties.
When asked about Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar’s statement, who questioned how many more farmer suicides the government wants to see, noting that 217 farmers committed suicide in Marathwada in the last three months, Minister Samant replied, "The rate of suicides must stop. The government's stance is that they should not happen at all. Farmers should also refrain from taking such extreme steps."

On other political matters, Samant stated that the Chief Minister would take a call on the letter submitted by MP Sanjay Raut.
When asked about former CM Uddhav Thackeray’s Legislative Council candidature, Samant remarked, "I will not comment on that."
Additionally, regarding former MP Imtiaz Jaleel, Samant said that if Jaleel had any evidence, he should submit it to the government.
He suggested that the Inspector General of Police should call him for an inquiry to collect whatever evidence he possesses.
