Aurangabad, Dec 9:

The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) instructed all function halls of the city to follow all norms of Novel coronavirus. It may be noted that the State Government gave permissions to reopen the function halls recently. It is mandatory to obtain permission from police and AMC for marriage functions.

Not more than 50 persons can gather for the function as per the COVID norms. However, a huge crowd was seen in function halls. The AMC took action against three function halls owners. Nagrik Mitra Pathak of the civic body imposed a fine of Rs 1000 each on three function halls owners on Wednesday. The function halls are Patidar Bhavan, Arihant Nagar opposite Jain Mandir and Hotel Amarpreet. After this, the Corporation will lodge criminal cases against the function hall owners. It collected Rs 79,950 fine on Wednesday including, Rs 7,700 from 77 citizens for spiting on the road, Rs 62,000 from 125 persons for moving without masks. A total of Rs 5,000 fine was collected from one Shaikh Salim in Jadhavwadi for using banned carry bags.
