Aurangabad, Nov 15:

The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has served a notice to tenants of blocs for the recover of rent. It may be noted that the AMC gave blocs at different places on rent. It signed an agreement with the tenant and fixed rent.

Around Rs 1.15 crore is pending with the tenants. Tenants do not pay rent as per the agreement, so, the pending amount of rent keeps increasing.

All the transaction were halted for the past seven month due to the spread of Novel coronavirus. The AMC launched recover drive. Its deputy commissioner Aparna Thete issued a letter to the tenants who did not respond it.

Therefore, she issued a notice to 69 tenants who owe Rs 1.15 crore to the civic body. On receiving notice, they paid Rs 62.76 lakh while Rs 35.78 lakh are outstanding. A total of 21 have not paid rent yet. They were served another notice.
