Aurangabad, Dec 7:
The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has organised various programmes to celebrate its anniversary on Tuesday (December 8). At the outset, the AMC administrator A K Pandey will offer tributes to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj''s portrait (in the office at Town Hall) at 8 am; Rajarshi Maharaj''s statue (Mill Corner) at 8.15 am; Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar''s statue (Bhadkal Gate) at 8.30 am and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj''s statue (TV Centre) at 8.45 am.
The main programme has been organised at the Garware stadium. He will felicitate meritorious students studying in AMC schools, and the meritorious wards of AMC employees at 9.30 am. Later on, the administrator will fete the doctors, nurses, health personnel, sanitary employees and others for rendering outstanding service during the Covid-19 situation in city at 9.45 am.
Pandey will also participate in the cricket match organised to mark the anniversary celebration on the ground. The matches will be played between officials of AMC, Police and ZP departments at 10 am.
A health check-up camp has been organised on the campus of AMC headquarters on Tuesday from 10 am to 1 pm, stated the release.
