Aurangabad, Dec 23:

The anti-encroachment squad of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has claimed that it had removed the encroachment from Johriwada in police security, today.

Earlier, the AMC squad witnessed opposition when it reached to remove the encroachment on Tuesday. The City Chowk police station have registered offences against four persons in this regard.

According to a building inspector Syed Jamsheed, " There was an encroachment on government land at Johriwada near Gulmandi. I was heading the squad which reached to demolish it. They also abused the officials in the squad. Hence the squad returned empty-handed without removing the total encroachment. Later on, the complaints were filed at the City Chowk police station against four persons for creating obstructions."

On Wednesday, the squad removed the incomplete encroachment under the guidance of additional commissioner Ravindra Nikam. Today''s action was taken by designated officer Savita Sonawane, Vasant Bhoye, R S Rachatwar, Syed Jamsheed and Mazhar Ali. Tight police bandobast was maintained by police inspector Faheem Hashmi and his team.
