Aurangabad, June 5:

The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has vaccinated 318 persons and students, who will be visiting abroad, for pursuing their higher studies or job, in the last three days.

The AMC's health section had launched a special vaccination drive for them from June 3 to 5. The first dose of Covishield was given to them through three centres - Chetnanagar Health Centre, Aurangpura Health Centre and Bansilalnagar Health Centre.

In three days, the vaccine was administered to 48 professionals visiting abroad for jobs, 199 students going to pursue higher education and 163 citizens (104 males and 59 females), who are also visiting abroad. It is learnt that a large number of professionals and students are visiting United States, United Kingdom, Australia and Germany.

Of the total figure of 318, a total of 69 persons including 26 students (of age group 18 to 44 years) took the vaccine from Aurangpura and Bansilalnagar Health Centres on the last day of the drive.
