Balanced nutrition and food literacy are vital in shaping students’ overall personality, said District Collector Deelip Swami. Annamrita Foundation celebrated its 14th anniversary by launching the “Nutrition First – Double Fun” initiative with students and guests recently.
Since its inception in 2012, the Foundation has expanded to serve nearly 40,000 students daily, emphasizing food safety, quality, and food literacy. On the occasion, Dr. Swami participated in the paneer (tofu) cutting process, praising the Foundation’s cleanliness, consistency, and quality, and assured full administrative support to expand such initiatives. The event was attended by education officer Jayshree Chavan (Primary, Zilla Parishad), deputy education officer Geeta Tandale, president Ritesh Mishra (CSN First), Rajan Nadkarni, Foundation members Sudarshan Potbhare, Anil Gaikwad, and Vinod Khairnar, along with students and teachers from Zilla Parishad Primary School, Warud Qazi.
