Pearls Academy, Aurangabad celebrated its Annual Day themed ‘Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Through the Lens of Islam’, recently. The programme commenced with a Quran recitation by Md Saad and its translation by Md Abbas. Principal Dr Nayer Iqbal presented the annual report. Student Council president Mohammad Rayyan, along with the school council members welcomed guests

Edris Khamissa (International Education Consultant, chairman of the English Society

of South Africa), Madhu Menon (educator, recognised as the Ambassador of Peace by the Universal Peace Federation), Iqbal Memon (chairman of Officer Fashion Craft Pvt Ltd, president of All India Memon Jamat Federation), Dr Mohammed Sayeed (chairman, SMT University, expert committee member of NCERT), Meer Waqiruddin Khaleeq (founder and managing director, Sports Infra Solutions and Services Pvt Ltd), and Lt Col (Dr) Satish Dhage

(founder director, MGM Institute of Competitive Exams).

The students presented performances based on SDGs including Zero Poverty,

Clean Water and Sanitation, Responsible

Consumption and Production and Climate Action. All participants, students, and staff joined on stage, lighting lanterns to the tune of Heal the World. The event concluded with a dua led by headmaster Mufti Izharul Haque.

School Executive Director Nazim Qureshi directed the event.
