Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

The Bharatanatyam Arangetram of Anushka Patil, disciple of Guru V Soumyasri Pawar and the seventh year student of Devmudraa a Movement School, was successfully presented in the presence of guests Bharatanatyam exponent and principal of Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyalaya, University of Mumbai, Dr Uma Rele, and Chidamberashwar Kishan Maharaj Sakare, SriKshetra- Alandi, recently.

Anushka won hearts of dance connoisseurs by her talent and skill during the two-hour performance. The presentation included Pushpanjali in praise of Ganapati followed by Shloka in praise of Nataraja, Ananda Narthana Ganapati, Varnam, Kirtanam Bho Shambho, Madhurashtakam,

abhang Kanada Raja Pandharicha, and tillana followed by Mangalam

Anushka’s parents Dr Yogita and Manish Patil and a large number of dance enthusiasts were present. The audiences were spellbound by the beautiful presentation and appreciated the efforts of the whole team and Anushka’s graceful dancing, exemplary stamina, and expressive abhinaya.

The music ensemble that accompanied her were Keerthana Krishnamurthy, the vocalist, Mangala Vaidyanathan (violin), K Dakshinamurthy (Mridangam) and Kumar Krishnan (flute). Choreography and Nattuvangam were by V Soumyasri Pawar. Deepali Kulkarni anchored the programme and Manish Patil proposed a vote of thanks
