Approval of principal of Kohinoor College withdrawn

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The administration of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) cancelled the approval of the principal of Khuldabad-based Kohinoor College of Dr Shankar Ambhore for not giving joining to a suspended lady teacher as per the court orders. The deputy registrar of Bamu sent a letter to the principal of Kohinoor College.

In the letter, it was stated that the college did not follow the orders of the pro-vice chancellor to allow the joining of assistant professor Dr Pradanya Shankarrao Kale as per the directives of the court.

The university administration observed that he (Dr Shankar Ambhore) failed to discharge his duties and responsibilities as the Principal.

A notice was issued to the principal. The Principal submitted an explanation to this notice. However, since this explanation was not satisfactory, the order states that the approval given by the university as the Principal was withdrawn as per Section (13) (f) of the Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016.
