The city and surrounding areas witnessed peak temperatures during the last week of April, making it the hottest period of this summer so far. Citizens experienced intense heat as temperatures reached their highest levels. In May, however, temperatures have started fluctuating. On Sunday, May 3, the maximum temperature recorded was 40.4°C. It was 40°C on May 1 and 41.5°C on May 2.

Since April 26, temperatures have been rising and falling, but the heat has remained relentless. The scorching sun continues to be intense from 11 am to 5 pm, and even after sunset, the heat persists in the atmosphere. According to the weather department, temperatures are expected to fluctuate during the first half of May, while in the second half, they may rise to around 43°C.
