Aurangabad, May 28:
The alert citizens demanded to take immediate action, prior to the onset of monsoon, against the dilapidated buildings in the old city. There are many buildings which are in dilapidated conditions and also pose danger to others in the old city. These structures could collapse during the rainy season and the possibility of an accident could not be averted. Hence the alert citizens urged the AMC to conduct a survey of such buildings on war-footing and serve notices to property-owners so that they could take appropriate action. It is learnt that the AMC fulfills the formality of serving notice to property-owner each year, but the notices are taken for granted. Hence the AMC administration in terms of security should initiate and take immediate action against these properties, it is demanded.
