Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The Department of Zoology of Maulana Azad College, Salim Ali Club and ERFEA jointly organised an 'artificial bird nest-making workshop to commemorate World Sparrow Day.

The event saw 32 on-campus participants learning the art of nest making from expert Kunal Vibhandik, while over 250 students from Nizamabad, Mehboob Nagar (Shaadnagar), Telangana and other colleges joined in hybrid mode by Google Meet.

Principal Dr Mazahar Farooqui presided over the function. He advised students to protect bird habitats while Dr J D Shaikh, a member of the Salim Ali Club and faculty members actively participated in the workshop. The workshop aimed to promote conservation efforts and raise awareness about the importance of protecting bird habitats, aligning with the World Sparrow Day mission.
