ASCDCL resumes bus service on five routes

Aurangabad, June 8:

The Aurangabad Smart City Development Corporation Limited (ASCDCL) has resumed the Smart City bus service, which was halted in the city due to the Covid-19 pandemic, from today morning.

Earlier, the ASCDCL chief executive officer (CEO) A K Pandey has directed the bus division to resume the bus service in phases. Accordingly, the service of 16 buses resumed in the first phase. These buses will ply on five main routes and complete 241 trips daily.

The routes on which the bus service has been re-started are Cidco to Railway Station via T V Centre, Aurangpura to Ranjangaon via Central Bus Stand, Aurangpura to Chhatrapati Shivajinagar via Mahaveer Chowk and Seven Hills, Cidco to Ghanegaon via Ranjangaon, and Mylon and Cidco to Jogeshwari via Ranjangaon.

The bus service got started at 5 am. The service resumed with an informal inauguration function in presence of officials of ASCDCL (bus division) at Cidco Bus Stand. Chief Operations Manager Ram Paunikar, deputy manager Siddharth Bansod, and Lalit Ostwal, line checking officers, and others were present on the occasion.
