Two friends were allegedly assaulted and pelted with stones by a group of eight to ten persons in Kachiwada at around 9.30 pm on April 9.

Kiran Bhalerao (28, Harshnagar) and Sushil Khetre were injured. In his complaint, Kiran said accused Dhruv Gaikwad called him while he was going to collect a food parcel and began assaulting him, saying, “You are flying too high.” Others joined in, allegedly hitting him on the head with a sharp object and stones. Sushil was also beaten when he tried to intervene. City Chowk police have registered a case against Dhruv Gaikwad, Shiv, Prathamesh Gaikwad alias Gotya, and eight others.
