Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Several ATM centres across the city are in a deplorable state, with many turning into virtual garbage dumps due to poor maintenance. Paper waste, plastic litter, dust and paan stains are commonly seen around machines, forcing customers to withdraw cash in unhygienic conditions. Irregular cleaning has led to foul odour at many locations. The absence of security guards has also raised safety concerns, particularly at night when miscreants reportedly loiter inside and create nuisance. In some cases, even exterior lights are non-functional. Despite collecting service charges from customers, banks appear to be neglecting upkeep. Regular cleaning, functional CCTV systems, proper lighting and security arrangements remain the responsibility of the concerned banks to ensure safe and dignified access to essential banking services.
