Aurangabad, May 3:

The Corona patients are increasing in the rural areas day by day. Presently, Aurangabad tehsil has the maximum 1398 active patients being treated in the district on May 3. Similarly, Vaijapur – 1382 active patients, Gangapur has 1086, Paithan 1027, Kannad 769, Sillod 521, Phulambri 199, Khuldabad 152 and Soyegaon 134. The total active patients in the rural areas are 6668.

The Zilla Parishad has established village wise vigilance committee and around 20 persons coming in contact of the Corona patients are being tested. Hence, the tests have increased in the rural areas. The Corona patients on Sunday and Monday were reported 461 and 481 respectively.

Out of the 1367 villages in the district, 215 villages remained free from Corona infection. The administration had facilitated the vaccination in these Corona free villages, informed acting district health officer, Dr Ulhas Gandal.
