Auto-rickshaw drivers spent two to three hours in fuel queues on Thursday as LPG ran dry at most pumps across the city. Many switched to petrol, only to face long queues there too. With most of the day lost to fuel hunting, drivers questioned how they could sustain their livelihoods.

LPG was available only at Beed Bypass, Kanchanwadi, and Chikalthana pumps. "Rates are nearing a hundred rupees and half the day goes in queues. Rickshaw fares need revision," said Nisar Ahmed Khan, president, Rickshaw drivers and owners federation.
