Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A case was registered at Kannad Police Station against Dilip Lihinar, an employee of Rashtraiya College at Hatnur in Kannad tehsil, for downloading a B.Com third year question paper and making it viral on social media.

Dr B. N. Dole, Director of the Board of Examination and Evaluation (BoEE), Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) said that the institution had suspended the employee responsible for the incident.

It may be noted that the summer session examinations for the BA, B.Com, and B.Sc degree courses have been underway within the jurisdiction of Bamu since April 7.

During these examinations, the Direct Taxes paper (Code No. X3013) of B.Com (sixth semester)-Third Year, went viral on mobile phones in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar before the paper even began. This incident occurred on April 11.

The leak came to light outside the examination centre of Marathwada Institute of Career and Research, in the Khokadpura area of the city.

When this serious paper leak came to the fore, Vice Chancellor Dr Vijay Fulari, recognising the gravity of the incident, constituted a committee.

The committee, with the help of the technical systems at the examination hall, traced the source. It was revealed that the paper had been leaked from the examination centre of Rashtraiya College in Hatnur, Kannad tehsil.

The committee conducted its inquiry and submitted its report on April 18.

Based on this report, the Direct Taxes paper held on April 11 was cancelled, and the examination centre of Rashtriya College in Hatnur was permanently cancelled.

Additionally, the college principal was ordered to lodge a police complaint within the next 48 hours against the concerned employee for downloading the paper and to submit a report to the university.
