Aurangabad, Nov 12:

Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) started a drive to create awareness about graduates voting. It may be noted that the election for Marathwada Graduates Constituency will be held on December 1.

The offices of divisional commission, district collector have launched different initiatives for voters awareness. The university too launched the drive for this purpose. A selfie point ‘Mi Matandan Karnar’ was installed.

Pro-vice chancellor Dr Shyam Shirsath inaugurated the campaign in the presence of Registrar Dr Jaishri Suryavanshi. Deans Bhalchandra Waykar and Dr Chetna Sonakamble, Finance and Accounts Officer Rajendra Madke, Senate member Dr Smita Awachar, deputy registrar Sanjay Kawade, Sanjay Shinde and Suresh Pardeshi were present.

The live streaming of a street play being staged in the university is done through social media. A separate cell ‘Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participants’ was set up at the office of the district collector.

District collector Sunil Chavan will interact with graduates online at 11 am on November 13.
