Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) will get 10 new officers including the Registrar, and director of the Board of Examination and Evaluation (BoEE) soon.
It may be noted that the post of registrar has been lying vacant for the past three years. There was a full-time registrar for just two years from 2015 to 2025. The post is being held by the incharge officers. Many professors from different departments got an opportunity to work on this post from one to two years duration. The posts of BoEE director have also lying for more than 12 years, except for two years in 2020 and 2021. Heads of different departments were appointed as BoEE incharge directors during this tenure. There are 476 undergraduate and postgraduate colleges with 3.50 lakh students at four districts-Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Beed and Dharashiv within the jurisdiction of the university.
There are 16 posts of statutory officers in the university. The administration could appoint full-time officers on the four posts while the recruitment process for the 12 posts started around eight to six months ago.
The aspirants submitted application forms in July-August 2024 for the posts of officers while candidates applied for the four posts of deans between August and September 2024. The scrutiny of application forms submitted for the 10 posts was completed.
The interviews for the post of registrar will be conducted in the fourth week of this month while aspirants for the BoEE director post will appear for the interviews in the first week of May. A total of 15 application forms were declared valid for the each of two posts.
