Aurangabad, Oct 29:

Two persons severely beat a bank’s recovery agent and robbed him of Rs 37,440 near Eidgah Maidan at Cantonment on Wednesday afternoon.

Bank agent Krishna Namdev Dethe (28, Nalni Khurd, Bhokardan) works for Axis Bank as a recovery agent in rural areas. On Wednesday at around 3.30 pm, Krishna was going on from the Cantonment area after recovering the loan amount from a women’s self-help group at New Nandanvan Colony. Two unknown persons of around 30 years of age stopped his motorcycle near Eidgah Maidan. They pushed his motorcycle and Krishna fell. They then started beating him and snatched Rs 37,440 from his bag and fled away. A case has been registered at the Cantonment police station while API Manisha Hiwarale is further investigating the case.
