Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

For nearly six decades since 1966, the police band has quietly embodied discipline, flawless rhythm, and the purest patriotism unsung hearts beating in perfect unison for the nation.

As the city prepares for Republic Day tomorrow, all eyes will turn to Deogiri Ground. There, amid waving flags and proud marches, the police band will once again rise as the soul-stirring highlight, its steady, heartfelt rhythm reminding every listener of sacrifice, loyalty, and unbreakable love for Bharat. Established in 1996, five years after the first Commissioner took charge of the Commissionerate in 1991, this humble ensemble now marks its deeply meaningful 30th year. Only 10 personnel, mostly constables, carry this cherished legacy forward. For 30 long years, through every dawn parade and every call of duty, they have infused the same burning energy and quiet patriotism into each note and step, proving that true service needs no fanfare, only devotion.

One personnel shared with touching sincerity:

“This is not just duty; it is our sacred work for the nation. When the country calls, our hearts answer with full, unwavering enthusiasm.” Four to five times each year, their simple yet profoundly powerful drumming stirs pride and unity in every listener. This Republic Day, as always, they march with the same spirit, carrying 30 years of silent sweat, shared brotherhood, and endless love for the motherland. In their rhythm beats the gratitude of a city, the pride of a state, and the eternal thanks of a nation.

Police band keeps tradition alive

"For 30 years, we have consistently served, upholding our tradition and respect. The rhythm of every performance depends on our dedication. We will continue to serve with passion, honor, and commitment, keeping our legacy alive."

- Head constable Raj Pachawane, head of the police band, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Parade to commence smoothly

As part of our regular routine, the parade will commence as scheduled. Following this, our band will continue performing consistently, maintaining the usual format and simplicity that reflects our standards. We aim to ensure smooth proceedings while upholding the tradition and discipline of the parade.
