Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:
The result of the direct recruitment process for 357 Class-IV posts at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) was declared on January 1. The selection of candidates will now be done strictly on merit after document verification. However, taking advantage of this process, some people have started misleading candidates by claiming that they can arrange jobs even without merit. The GMCH administration has appealed to candidates to remain cautious and not fall prey to such claims.
Earlier, document verification for selected candidates was scheduled to begin on January 19. However, candidates who were to undergo verification on January 19 will now have their documents verified on January 27. Similarly, candidates scheduled for verification on January 20 will now be verified on January 28. Verification scheduled from January 21 onwards will continue as per the earlier plan, informed dean Dr Shivaji Sukre. He added that the change in dates was made as technical support from TCS would take some time.
The examination for filling Class-IV posts through direct recruitment at GMCH was conducted last year on August 25, 26 and 28 at 12 centres across the state. The recruitment examination was conducted smoothly under the supervision of dean Dr Shivaji Sukre and nodal officer Dr Bharat Sonawane. The original documents of selected candidates will now be verified.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that some individuals are offering false assurances of securing jobs for candidates who are not on the merit list. This issue is being widely discussed at GMCH. However, the administration is maintaining strict vigilance to ensure that the verification process is conducted in a transparent manner.
Do not trust such claims
Selection will be done strictly on the basis of merit and reservation categories after document verification. The process will be carried out through the committee and TCS. Candidates should not trust anyone claiming to arrange jobs, said dean Dr Shivaji Sukre.
