Aurangabad, Jan 9:

BJP Youth wing (BHAJAYUMO) city unit vice president and on-record criminal Bunty Raju Chavariya (Gandhinagar, Aurangabad) was attacked over old rivalry near Tiwari Mangal Karyalaya on Thursday night. A case has been registered at the Vedantnagar police station in this regard.

Police said, Chavariya is a criminal on police record. In 2015, a case of attempt to murder and other crimes are registered against him. On Thursday night, he had gone to attend a marriage ceremony at Tiwari Mangal Karyalaya in Railway Station area. While he was going on his two wheeler with one of his relatives, accused Manish Lahot (Chottamurlidharnagar) along with four to five accomplices stopped him and attacked him with sharp weapons. They later fled away from the scene. Meanwhile, Chavariya has been admitted at a private hospital where he is presently being treated. Under the guidance of PI, Rameshwar Rodge, PSI, Pramod Devkate is further investigating the case.
