The 94th Akhil Bhartiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan will be held at Nashik in March. Several names of litterateurs have come to the fore for the post of president of this convention and senior litterateur Bharat Sasane is heading the list of names.
The curiosity about the president of the convention this year was spread everywhere. The names of Dr Jayant Naralikar, Dr Ramchandra Dekhane, Janardan Waghmare and others were in the fray. However, the officials of the convention have maintained silence about it. Still, the reliable sources said that the name of Bharat Sasane has been proposed for the presidentship and he has strong support.
It was directed to send the names for the president till January 20. Accordingly, Marathwada Sahitya Parishad sent two names, among which Sasane’s name is at the top, the sources said. Meanwhile, the curiosity about the president will be over after the announcement of the name of the president after two days.
