A 50-year-old motorcyclist died after losing control of his bike while trying to avoid an unidentified vehicle on the Ladsawangi road near Dhoot Company Chowk in the Karmad DMIC area on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Hiralal Salunke, a resident of Bhambarda village. He was returning home on his motorcycle (MH-20 DY-2523) after finishing work in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Police said an unidentified vehicle coming from behind suddenly swerved near Dhoot Company Chowk, causing Salunke to lose control of his motorcycle and crash into the road divider. He suffered severe head injuries and fell unconscious on the road. Local residents rushed to the spot and shifted him to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in the city, where doctors declared him dead after examination. Salunke is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter. His sudden death has left the family in deep distress and spread grief in Bhambarda village. A case of accidental death has been registered at the Karmad Police Station. Further investigation is underway under the guidance of police inspector Samratsing Rajput, with police personnel Prasad Nandwe and Dadasaheb Dhawale assisting in the probe.
