A motorcyclist died after colliding with an unknown vehicle on Saturday around 11 pm in front of Chikalthana Airport. The deceased has been identified as Abhijeet Pandharinath Ghanghav (41, Bhimnagar, Bhavsingpura).
According to relatives, Abhijeet worked at a hotel and had purchased a new motorcycle just a week ago. On Saturday, while he was traveling with a friend from Town Hall to the Shendra area, their motorcycle was hit by an unidentified vehicle in front of Chikalthana Airport. Both Abhijeet and his friend were seriously injured and taken to the hospital. Abhijeet was declared dead by doctors upon examination. He is survived by his wife, daughter, mother, and brother. The accident has been registered at MIDC Cidco Police Station.
