Aurangabad, March 21:

BJP agitators staged demonstration at the Cidco Flyover despite the lockdown in the city on Sunday morning and demanded resignation of home minister Anil Deshmukh. The Pundliknagar police have booked MP Dr Bhagwat Karad, MLA Atul Save, BJP City president Sanjay Kenekar and others including around 60 activists for conducting agitation during lockdown.

Prohibitory measures have been imposed as per the orders of the district collector Sunil Chavan and commissioner of police Dr Nikhil Gupta in the city to prevent the spread of Corona. Around 60 BJP activists staged demonstrations on Sunday breaching the orders. Hence, cases have been booked against them under the Disaster Management Act 2005 sections, (50), (1), (A), IPC 188 and Maharashtra Police Act 135.

API, Ghansham Sonawane and other policemen arrested the agitators. Cases have been registered against MP Dr Karad, MLA Save, city president Kenekar, Harshvardhan Karad, Balaji Munde, Manoj Bharaskar, Anil Makariye, Rajesh Mehta, Sameer Rajurkar, Baban Narwade, Shivaji Dandge, Dayaram Bassaiye, Raju Shinde, Sanjay Joshi, Laxmikant Thithe, Lata Dalal, Amruta Palodkar, Savita Kulkarni, Shalini Gunde, Varsha Salunke, Manjushri Bhansli, Divya Marathe, Pratibha Jarad, Manisha Mundhe and others.
