Aurangabad, May 11:

District collector Sunil Chavan hinted that action would be taken against the agitators of political parties for flouting COVID norms.

There are restrictions on any political agitation. Talking to the newsman on Tuesday, Sunil Chavan said that the work of the oxygen tank at District Civil Hospital (DCH) was completed while some work on the pipeline is remaining.

“The process of cylinder filling from tanker will commence. Sagar Agency was given the contract of the work,” he said.

On the point that the contractor has stopped the work, the district collector said that details of work completion would be taken.

“The contractor will bring medical liquid gas from Pune and would put it in the tank.

This will help in generating 10 tonnes of oxygen which is sufficient for a week.

Around 300-500 cylinders can be filled from the tank,” he claimed.

Protesting the delay in the inauguration of the oxygen tank, BJP leaders and activists led by its city unit president Sanjay Kenekar did the symbolic inauguration of a liquid oxygen tank at District Civil Hospital on Tuesday.

Sanjay Kene said that because of the delay in the completion of tank work, oxygen is being brought from outside.“When the work of tank was completed, why it is not being used," he added.

Former mayor Bhagwan Ghadmode, general secretary Raju Shinde, Sanjay Choudhary, Hafiz Shaikh, Versha Salunke and others were present.
