Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: “The new water supply scheme for the city was brought by then Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. He was the one who provided funds and momentum to this scheme. Our corporators demanded that Uddhav Thackeray's name should be mentioned while passing a congratulatory resolution for the government in the general meeting of the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation (CSMC). However, the BJP Mayor displayed narrow-mindedness,” said Ambadas Danve, Uddhav Sena leader, while criticising Mayor Sameer Rajurkar.
Talking to journalists on Saturday, former Leader of Opposition Ambadas Danve said that the administration was not taking any decision regarding the gas shortage in the city.
“On the other hand, the black market selling of gas cylinders was openly visible. Against this backdrop, Uddhav Sena launched an agitation. Not only that, our workers caught an auto-rickshaw illegally carrying gas cylinders. After this, the administration woke up. A case was registered against the concerned auto-rickshaw driver. Our demand is that the agency's license should be cancelled. Black marketing of gas is going on, and in such a situation, the administration must instill confidence in the public,” he said.
Ambadas Danve said that former Chairperson of the Women's Commission, Rupali Chakankar, had stated that she has no financial dealings with Captain Ashok Kharat.
“However, this matter is not limited to financial transactions alone; it is an issue of women's dignity. Despite this, Chakankar appears to be shielding Kharat,” Danve said. He said that it is not that videos of women go viral in cases involving Kharat.
"These videos are with the police themselves. If the police are the ones leaking them, then action should be taken against the concerned police personnel,” said Danve. He said that when the country faces a crisis, everyone must come together.
“However, India's foreign policy is going wrong. It is the duty of the opposition to raise its voice against it. If goods manufactured in Pakistan, India's enemy, are found being sold here, Uddhav Sena will burn such goods,” warned Danve.

City's renaming was done by Thackeray himself
The new water supply scheme for the city was approved by Thackeray. Similarly, the decision to rename the city as Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar was taken by Uddhav Thackeray. After Balasaheb Thackeray carried out the renaming, the BJP people continued to call it Aurangabad. We have evidence of this,” said Danve.
