Aurangabad, Dec 30:

The chief minister Uddhav Thackeray had performed the Bhoomipujan of roads of valuing Rs 152 crores, in the city, on December 12. However, to take credit, BJP again performed the inauguration of a road of valuing Rs 15 crore, although the CM had already inaugurated it, today.

The MLA Atul Save inaugurated the road''s construction from Deepali Hotel to Jai Bhavaninagar Chowk to Mukundwadi Railway Station. Pramod Rathod, Shivaji Dandge, Madhuri Adwant, Manisha Munde, Govind Kendre, Kailas Gaikwad, Balaji Munde, Laxmikant Thete, Sanjay Borade, Rameshwar Daspute, contractor Harvinder Singh Bindra and others were present on occasion.

The tradition of grabbing each other''s credit of development works built through government funds is not new to the city. The former chief minister Devendra Fadnavis had granted Rs 124 crore for the city roads. Hence it was BJP to take the credit. However, now there is a change in power, and the Chief Minister is of Shiv Sena. He recently gave Rs 150 crore for the roads in the city. The CM performed combined bhoomipujan of all the roads in the city on December 12.

BJP displayed hoardings in the city to highlight its credit for the said works. They did not stop here. Today they conducted the inauguration of 1600 metres long road. The AMC officers were unaware of the inauguration.

Shiv Sena''s former standing committee chairman Raju Vaidya trained his gun on BJP saying the code of conduct for gram panchayat election is underway. Hence the inauguration cannot be performed. Besides, the government officials were also absent at the function. It is nothing but an attempt to grab the credit, he stressed.
