Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

In the former constituency of OBC Welfare Minister Atul Sāve, the BJP contested 24 seats and won 22, maintaining a 90% success rate. In comparison, the party had secured only 8 seats here in 2015.

The BJP-Shiv Sena alliance broke in Prabhag no. 22, where BJP and Shinde’s Shiv Sena each won 2 seats, with one uncontested victory for Shinde Sena. Pundliknagar, a former stronghold of Uddhav Sena, slipped from its control as Shinde Sena gained ground, preventing a full sweep by the BJP.
