Aurangabad, Jan 20:

BJP leaders clarified that there is no question of forming a separate Nagari Vikas Aghadi (NVA) to contest the forthcoming Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) elections as BJP will contest on all seats on its strength.

A rumour was going around, saying that NVA should be formed under Mansingh Pawar's leadership to contest the AMC election. However, Mansingh Pawar clarified, " Nothing as such could be done. I have no connection with BJP, especially with politics. I always keep myself away from politics and continue to maintain the distance till to date."

It may be noted that sensation had prevailed when Pawar worked against Maha Vikas Aghadi candidate Satish Chavan and supported his rival and BJP candidate Shirish Boralkar in Marathwada Graduates Constituency election.

When inquired about NVA formation to BJP's veteran leader Harbhau Bagade said, " It is not true. The politics of AMC elections is under my focus. BJP will contest all the seats on its strength. "

BJP city president Sanjay Kenekar also said that there is no base to the rumour of NVA. The party is competent to contest the election on its strength.
