Ahead of the municipal corporation and Zilla Parishad elections, the BJP is conducting training sessions for both new entrants and existing workers and office-bearers under the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Training Maha Abhiyan. A study session was held at the party’s divisional office here on Saturday, where former MP Kirit Somaiya guided the participants.

Somaiya said the real strength of the BJP lies in its booth-level workers. He stressed that effective communication with the public is the need of the hour and that every worker represents the party. The party’s image depends on their behaviour, work, and interaction with people. BJP city president Kishor Shitole said the training sessions help office-bearers gain clarity of thought and improve organisational work. MLA Anuradha Chavan, state secretary Rekha Kulkarni, group leader Govind Kendre, municipal leader Dinesh Pardeshi, rural district president Sanjay Khambayate, along with Suhas Shirsat, Harshvardhan Karad, Rameshwar Bhadwe, corporators, office-bearers, and workers were present in large numbers.
