Book Exhibition, Reading Week inaugurated in Bamu

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The book exhibition and reading week being organised at the Knowledge Resource Centre (KRC) of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) was inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor Dr Vijay Fulari on Tuesday.

Various programs are being held from April 7 to 14 as part of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations. An exhibition and reading week is being organised at the KRC, i.e, the University Library. Vice-Chancellor Dr Vijay Fulari inaugurated the event and reviewed the books on display.

KRC Director Dr Vaishali Khaparde, Deans Dr Mahendra Shirsath, Dr Sanjay Salunke, and Dr Veena Humbe, Dr Yogita Hoke Patil and Student Development Board Director Dr Kailas Ambure, among others.

The exhibition features books written by Bharat Ratna Dr Ambedkar, books written by various authors about Dr Ambedkar, the original copy of the Constitution, books on Mahatma Phule, Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj, Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, rare books on Ajanta Paintings and manuscripts on goddesses written by Raja Shamraj Rai Rayan Rajwant Bahadur, in Sanskrit, Marathi, Hindi, Pali and Urdu langauges and competitive examination books.

A continuous 18-hour reading session is being organised at the library on April 12. KRC Director Dr Vaishali Khaparde has appealed to all teachers, students and the general public to take advantage of this reading week and book exhibition.
