Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Due to sudden power outages in Summer. To address this, MSEDCL has approved capacity upgrades for six substations, with work set to be completed by April 10.

As temperatures rise, the use of air conditioners, fans, and coolers surges, leading to frequent power interruptions. With citizens concerned about uninterrupted electricity supply during April and May, all eyes are on MSEDCL’s measures to stabilize the grid.

Request for land for a 132 kV substation

In addition to upgrading existing substations, MSEDCL has proposed a new 132 kV substation in CADA, requiring 5 acres of land. Once established, this substation will significantly improve power distribution efficiency. "Land acquisition is crucial for the new substation, which will enhance supply reliability."

— Pawan Kumar Kachhot, chief engineer, MSEDCL

Work to be completed before April 10

Authorities have sanctioned capacity expansion. This upgrade aims to ensure a more efficient and stable power supply during peak summer months. "The capacity enhancement work is in progress and will be completed before April 10 to improve electricity distribution."

— Manish Thakre, superintendent engineer, City Division, MSEDCL
