Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

Census work is set to begin from April 1, and following the district administration’s instructions, the town planning section of the municipal corporation has started preparing maps. Each enumeration group will consist of a minimum of 140–160 households or 400–700 residents.

According to the 2011 Census, the city’s population was 12.28 lakh. Census activities will officially start from April 1. Officers and staff have been appointed for this work. Officers from the municipal corporation’s town planning section will be tasked with preparing maps of the areas suggested by census teams.

The city has 29 prabhags, and the maps will take into account the population growth over the past 15 years, city expansion, historical structures, roads, religious sites, educational and medical institutions, and transport facilities. Maps will be prepared for enumeration groups of 140–160 households or 400–700 residents.

To ensure transparency and allow citizens to fill in their details themselves, the Central Government will provide a mobile app. Employees will also be given tablets to record citizen information, which will then be verified against the data submitted by the citizens via the app. Sources stated that the information will be confirmed after cross-checking.
