Aurangabad, April 29:

The Zilla Parishad chief executive officer (CEO) Mangesh Gondawale has ordered the primary health centers (PHCs) to set up Control Room to keep an eye on the irresponsible movement of the Coronavirus infected patients, who are undergoing treatment under home isolation, in villages falling under their jurisdiction.

The administration has come to notice that the infected persons avail themselves the facility of home isolation for their treatment, but instead of remaining in the houses, they are spotted wandering in the village. This is posing threat to the health of others and is leading to the spreading of the virus in the rural sector. Hence to put an end to this behaviour the ZP CEO gave the above

order.

In the order issued to the block development officers, block education officer, and tehsil health officer, the CEO directs them to deploy the required number of ZP teachers and staff, after going through the strength of patients in each village, for the task of vigilance. They should keep an eye from 10 am to 5 pm. The officials should also stay in touch with these patients to know their whereabouts.

The ZP-CEO observed that the district borders are sealed, but the vehicles are making entry into the borders from the districts close Ahmednagar, Jalgaon, Beed, Buldhana, and Jalna. Hence, he ordered to deploy staff at the check post with the help of the police. The CEO also informed the senior officials to cross-verify responsibilities performed by the teachers and other ZP staff deployed on the task.

Gondawale also informed the PHCs and others to hand over the list of suspects came across during the ILI (Influenza-like illness) survey to the village vigilance committee and it would take further action accordingly.
