Aurangabad, July 4:

Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) superintendent Deepak R Gupta was conferred with the commendation certificate from the the Central Board of Indirect Tax and Customs (CBIC) on the occasion of the 4th GST Day celebrated recently.

Gupta received the award for his exceptional contribution in GST administration. He is one of the 32 CBIC officers from all over India awarded the commendation certificate for their valuable contribution in the administration of GST. The programme was presided over by the union minister for finance Nirmala Sitharaman. The national level programme was organised through virtual mode on the digital platform which was attended by all field formations. Gupta received the award in Nagpur. He said, the fact that the work has been recognized at the national level instills the confidence in me to work with best of my abilities for the interest of the department and GST.
