Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) of South Central Railway’s Nanded division have intensified action under Operation Yatri Suraksha, Operation Rail Suraksha, and Operation Nanhe Farishte. During the drive, a chain snatcher was arrested at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar railway station, while a minor boy who had run away from home was reunited with his family.

Under Operation Yatri Suraksha, RPF, GRP and CIB teams solved a chain-snatching case that occurred on March 7 in the Nanded–Hadapsar Express. Acting on CCTV footage, the accused was arrested near platform number 4. A 17.57-gram gold chain worth Rs 43,700 was recovered and handed over to GRP for further investigation, officials from the Nanded division said.

Operation Nanhe Farishte

Under Operation Nanhe Farishte, RPF and GRP personnel on Sunday took custody of a 17-year-old boy who had run away from home and boarded a train at the station. After counselling, he was handed over to his relatives in the presence of railway officials.
