Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

Harsul T-point, a busy and important traffic junction, has become accident-prone due to indisciplined traffic. The signal system at the junction has been non-functional for a long time. With traffic increasing day by day and lack of proper regulation, the area is witnessing frequent congestion, confusion, and risky situations.

This junction connects key areas such as Cidco-Hudco, TV centre, Delhi Gate, Harsul village, and Mayur Park, leading to heavy inflow of vehicles from all directions. However, due to non-operational signals and inadequate traffic police presence, motorists are seen flouting rules and driving recklessly. As a result, a journey that should take a few minutes often stretches to 30 minutes to an hour. Severe traffic jams are especially witnessed between 9 am to 12 noon and 5 pm to 7 pm.

At the junction, auto-rickshaw drivers, illegal passenger transport operators, and some private vehicle owners park their vehicles in the middle of the road to pick up and drop passengers, further worsening the situation.

Locals have demanded immediate activation of traffic signals at Harsul T-point, an increase in traffic police deployment, strict action against rule violators, provision of safe zebra crossings for pedestrians, and expedited completion of road work on Jalgaon Road, along with other necessary measures.
