Aurangabad, Feb 12:

A cheater duped a farmer of Rs 51,878 online in

a two-wheeler sale transaction on OLX. A case has been registered in this

regard at the Satara police station.

Complainant, Mithun Keshav Pawar (Kanchanwadi)

had to purchase a motorcycle. He saw an advertisement on OLX and contacted on

the given mobile phone number. The person on the phone told him that he is an

army man and he will sell his motorcycle at Rs 55,000. Pawar showed willingness

to purchase the motorcycle. Then he asked Pawar to send him the amount online

and he will send the motorcycle through transport agency. Hence, Pawar transferred

Rs 51,878 on his account but he did not receive the motorcycle. When realized

that he has been taken on a ride, he lodged a complaint at the Satara police

station.
