Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is a golden page in history. He had consistently insisted on a new system and was a great hero, renowned for his honesty and integrity. The king who brought the concept of Swarajya to life is Chhatrapati Shivaji. If the character of the rulers is brilliant, a good society is created. Chhatrapati Shivaji is an exemplary example of this,” said Dr Vishwadhar Deshmukh, a prominent scholar.

He was speaking at ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj: Legacy and Legacy' under the Narhar Kurundkar Lecture Series jointly organised by the 'Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension' and the 'Department of Student Development'of Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University on Tuesday.

Dr Kailash Ambhure presided over the function. Dr Sudhakar Shendge, Director of the Department of Lifelong Education and Extension, was present on the dais.

Dr Nandkishore Khillare conducted the proceedings of the programme while Dr Ashok Sarwade proposed a vote of thanks.
