Aurangabad, Jan 2:

The Cidco police special squad arrested a man for smuggling liquor amounting Rs 24,120 on Saturday. According to the details, Cidco police station PI, Ashok Giri received the information from the informers that a man is taking liquor for illicit sale for the upcoming grampanchayat elections. He is standing at Sharad Tee Point in front of Deogiri Bank and waiting for a rickshaw. The special squad rushed to the spot and arrested Rahul Rajkumar Jaiswal (28, Surewadi) and seized foreign liquor amounting Rs 24,120 in two white coloured gunny bags from him. A case has been registered on the basis of a complaint lodged by constable Vishal Sonawane in this regard.

The action was executed under the guiandance of CP Dr Nikhil Gupta, DCP Deepak Girhe, ACP Nishikant Bhujbal, PI Ashok Giri by the Cidco special squad including PSI Kalyan Shelke, constables Narsingh Pawar, Subhash Shewale, Suresh Bhise, Vishal Sonawane, Swapnil Ratnaparkhi and Ganesh Nagare.
