The torrential rains which started in the city on Wednesday evening continued till late at night. The different parts of the city recorded 17.4 mm rainfall until 8.30 pm.

The sky was cloudy since early morning. After dark clouds gathered in the sky, it started raining. Electricity failure was reported from Jyotinagar and some parts of Hudco because of rains. The power supply was resumed after half an hour in Jyotinagar. Waterlogging was reported in low lying areas of Ajabnagar and some houses in Ahimsanagar.

On receiving calls, personnel of the fire brigade rushed towards the sport. Small ponds were seen in low lying areas of the city. There was low traffic because of lockdown in the city areas. Pedestrian faced inconvenience in Satara, Deolai, Chiklathan, Pisadevi and Harsul places which had no proper roads.
