Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

The state government has decided to bifurcate the city survey and land records offices in the district. Accordingly, the district will have two district superintendent of land records (SLR) offices ,one in Kannad and another in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The city survey section (PR card section) will also be divided into City Survey Office 1 and City Survey Office 2.

A new district superintendent office will be established at Kannad, where posts of superintendent and deputy superintendent will be created. This office will handle work related to Kannad, Gangapur, Vaijapur, Khultabad and Soygaon tehsils. The Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar land records office will oversee Paithan, Phulambri, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Sillod tehsils. The government has taken this decision considering the growing size of major cities in the state.

Due to the expansion of the city and increasing number of properties, two separate city survey offices will be created for the convenience of citizens. Jalna Road will act as the dividing line between the two offices, with separate jurisdictions for the north and south sides. The required staff structure has been approved by the government and a location for the new office will be finalised soon.

Villages included in the extended municipal corporation limits will now fully fall under the city survey department, and citizens with 7/12 land records will also be able to obtain PR cards for their properties.

Jurisdiction of the offices

---- City Survey Office No. 1 (North): Areas north of Jalna Road, including TV Centre, Cidco, the old city, Harsul and Hudco, will fall under this office, which currently functions at the collectorate.

---- City Survey Office No. 2 (South): Areas south of Jalna Road, including Railway Station area, Paithan Road, Beed Bypass, Pundliknagar area, Shivajinagar, Itkheda and Kanchanwadi, will come under the new office, which will have additional staff.
