Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Although temperatures have been fluctuating since the onset of summer, the sun has been blazing more intensely over the past two days.

The city's temperature rose to 42.4 degrees Celsius on Sunday. As a result, with the heat adding to the city's sweltering conditions, traffic on the roads visibly reduced during the afternoon hours.

Over the past few days, the intensity of the heat has been increasing significantly. The sun was scorching from as early as 8 AM on Saturday.

According to information provided by the Chikalthana Weather Observatory, the city's temperature was 28.9 degrees Celsius at 9 AM. The intensity of the sun continued to rise after this and by afternoon, the temperature had settled at 41.6 degrees Celsius under the blazing sun. The temperature had dropped to around 35 degrees by 5 PM.

Customers did not step out of their homes due to the rising temperatures, despite Sunday being the weekly market day at Juna Mondha. So, traders were unable to sell their goods as usual.
