A minor altercation over an accidental push escalated into a violent brawl between two student groups at Sayali B. Pharmacy College in Mitmita on February 19. The clash, which erupted around 2:30 PM during a college celebration, left two students injured.

Witnesses said Ganesh Lohar, a student from Pundliknagar, accidentally pushed Aditya Khandare while dancing to a song at the event. When Aditya confronted him, an argument flared up and quickly spiraled out of control. Ganesh and two of his associates dragged Aditya outside the college premises and assaulted him brutally, knocking out one of his teeth and injuring his left eye. When Ashok Hivrale tried to intervene, he too was attacked.

Police at Cantonment station registered a case against Ganesh and his two accomplices. An investigation is underway to identify and arrest those involved
