CMIA delegation meet officials from Indonesian Embassy

Aurangabad, Oct 18:

To strengthen bilateral relations between India and Indonesia and to attract new industries and new investments representatives of the Indonesian Embassy along with the delegation of the Chamber of Marathwada Industries and Agriculture (CMIA) held detailed discussions here recently.

The meeting was held to discuss strengthening bilateral ties between India and Indonesia in the areas of industry-trade, business-education and tourism. Consulate General of Indonesia Agus Saptono said that Indonesian students are eager to receive training in the field of engineering. CMIA president Kamleish Dhoot briefed the Indonesian Director General of Commerce on the industrial development of Aurangabad, industrial establishments, historical heritage and historical monuments of the city. He informed about the opportunities available in the industrial and tourism sector as well as amenities in Aurangabad-Shendra-Jalna section. He also said that direct flights from Mumbai to Indonesia should be started. Vice president Shiv Prasad Jaju informed about the opportunities available in the tooling business. The meeting discussed the possibility of offering engineering education to Indonesian students through MoUs between India and Indonesian educational institutions. Ashish Gadekar informed about the facilities available at the Aurangabad based educational institute. He also elaborated on the concept of medical tourism. Discussions were held on imparting N-plant training as well as business education to Indonesian students in industries in Aurangabad. Harpreet Singh Nirh expressed the view that tourism growth should be encouraged and suggested appropriate measures in this regard. Consul general Yadi Suryadi, Vijay V Tawde, assistant (Economics), administrative staff Mustafa Ansari and CMIA members were present.
